Parrot Beach Cottages on Siesta Key is mere steps - approximately 150 feet - from the beach and the emerald water, situated just behind the waterfront properties and within walking distance of Siesta Key Village. Suite #2 is a small space for up to two people, occupying just 250 square feet, with one queen bedroom, one bathroom, and a very small full kitchen. The bathroom consists of a single sink, a toilet, and a shower/tub combination, with pocket doors on either side that allow the room to be accessed from both the living room and the bedroom. You'll enjoy a ground-floor location right next to the property's small outdoor pool, as well as one reserved, off-street parking spot for your ease and convenience. Parrot Beach Cottages is a two-story building that sits 150 feet from Siesta Key Public Beach Access 2, providing you with unbeatable access to one of the top white sand beaches in the world. This area of the beach is a favorite for sunbathing, swimming, romantic sunset walks, small beach weddings, skim boarding, paddleboarding, kayaking, shore fishing, and much more. Fishermen catch everything from snapper and mackerel to snook and jacks. You'll be within walking distance of a number of businesses that rent all sorts of gear, from kayaks and paddleboards to bikes and video game systems. Due to how close the complex is to the beach, several rental outfitters will bring kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes right to the property and pick them up when you're done! The suite is also within easy walking distance of Siesta Key Village, where you'll find shops, restaurants, live music, and more. Or, head into town for other local adventures, including the world-renowned Ringling Museum, the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Mote Marine, Jungle Gardens, and outdoor shopping and dining on St. Armands Circle. Things to know: There are three other suites available to rent at the Parrot Beach Cottages fourplex - Suite #1, Suite #3, and Suite #4 Free high-speed WiFi Smoke-free property Full kitchen (without a dishwasher) Bedroom is small with only a few feet on each side of the bed; no TV in the bedroom The suite has limited storage (one small closet) Flat path to the front door; step-free access to the home, common area, bathroom, and bedroom The shower features grab bars Snowbird-friendly; please contact Vacasa for details Please note that the shared pool is small, about 15 feet by 10 feet and about four to six feet deep The overall property is very small, so there is no extra vehicle or visitor parking. There's also no nearby on-street parking. Guests love the location (truly walking distance to the beach and the village) and the more private feel of the beach, since this is a dead-end road and there is no nearby public parking. There is a new home being built on the lot next door. Construction work is permitted by Sarasota County daily from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors! Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The location could not have been any better. The beach was approximately 150 feet from your front door and proximity to the village was two short blocks. The apartment was small and quaint but enough for two people. The pool was very chilly but I’m sure the hurricane knocked out the heater so my guess is the owners worked on getting the place ready to rent and another heater will be in the future. The email and text comms were very helpful and left us feeling like someone was always accessible if ever anything came up. The place was very clean (spotless) when we arrived. We’re just steps from the beach so fixing a cup of coffee and walking outside enjoying the sunrise was effortless. Likewise, just a few more steps in the other direction and we are in the Village. Short walk to restaurants, shopping, and convenience store. Lots of walkers and bikers on and off the beach. Unfortunately AC does not work in bedroom!! Very hot in there. There is not even enough room in the bedroom to leave out your suitcases. There is one small upright dresser in the bedroom. There are no rugs anywhere, leaving no break from the hard tile or a place to wipe off your feet before getting into bed. When we arrived there was a significant amount of water in the living room, which we later found out is a re-curring event. The owner of this unit owns the building and has had previous issues with this water leaking and still has not fixed it. The water continued to leak out of the wall throughout our week-long stay. The lock on the pool is an inconvenient keyed lock. It is difficult to open the way the key fits in. We had to keep the pool locked because several times multiple rowdy teenagers were found in the pool (which was right outside our doorway) who were not staying at the property.
