10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I stayed at Lost Pines for my baby moon and had a relaxing stay. The entire property felt like you were being transported away to a secluded retreat. Facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the lazy river (recommend going early in the morning before 10am and after 6pm for a quieter and cooler experience) and the evening smores. They even had a family movie playing on the lawn every night. I also enjoyed how close we were to Austin proper. It was only a 30-40min drive into downtown. So we had the opportunity to enjoy some local restaurants. The one criticism I have was the paved walking trail. There was a recent rainstorm in the hill country which brought through a lot of mud. There were some parts of the path that were still completely caked in dirt with uneven walking surfaces. The areas were completely dried at this point but had not been cleared. There were also several areas where the grass and bushes had not been trimmed back, making it hard to navigate through the walkways. One area had an overhanging tree that had been knocked over. Overall enjoyed my experience and am marking Lost Pines as a resort to visit again."

"We had an amazing stay! The A-frame cabin is even better in person-clean, cozy, and full of character. Sitting out on the deck in the evening watching the storm clouds roll in while the cabinglowed from the inside was one of the highlights of our trip. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for.The location was great for exploring the area. We spent our days visiting Bastrop, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Gas Station, fishing, and checking out the local towns before coming back to relax here each night. The hosts did a great job, andeverything was exactly as described. If you're looking for a unique, relaxing place to stay, we highly recommend it.We'd definitely come back!"
