Rosemont is a upper-class neighborhood with lots of long-time residents and many young families and professionals, such as ourselves. It offers quite a bit and is in a residential neighborhood, composed of tree lined streets and beautiful homes from the 1930's to newer ones, 1980's. An easy walk to Old Towne, Alexandria; Metro; Del Ray; and eateries.

Location location!
Perfect and economical place to stay right outside of DC. Host was great in communicating with us. He even welcomed us with a box of doughnuts! You can’t beat the wonderful upscale neighborhood with close by shopping and dining options. Close by and walkable metro and Uber travel options.

Amazing neighborhood! Enjoyed the cottage.
The cottage is exactly as described. There is convertible bed in the living room area on the entry level that fits two comfortably. I found it to be plenty comfortable. Once I set up the bed, I left it that way, rather than folding it up during the day. The bathroom is also on the entry level. The kitchen/eating area is accessed by going down a really cool staircase that also leads to the back yard walkout. I’ve stayed in several hotels in the area and I enjoyed this stay more than any of them. Parking was a breeze, but I mostly walked. It's just short of a mile to get to Old Town, but the walk is beautiful. Parking at most hotels in the Alexandria area is $40 per night, free parking was a big plus. While the host lives in the main house, the cottage provides complete privacy. I only met Jack when I stupidly locked myself out and he quickly saved the day. All things considered, I had a great trip and enjoyed staying at the cottage and I’ll probably stay there again on a future trip.

Excellent place to stay in Alexandria
Really enjoyed our 3 week stay. Host (Jack) was very hospitable and responsive during our stay. Location of “The Cottage” is convenient to the Metro (about 10-15 walk to either Braddock or King Street/Old Town Stations”) through pretty residential areas. Especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Would, without hesitation, stay at The Cottage again if visiting the DC area.

Fun little cottage
This small, cozy cottage is as described. It worked for us as we were out exploring all the sites from 8 AM to 8 PM. Great location. Super quiet neighborhood. Jack had it all ready and check in was super easy when we arrived late at 9 PM.

The Cottage
Enjoyable place to stay. Jack was quick and took care of our one issue, and that was with an air mattress. I loved the outside patio watching the squirrels and birds. Lovely neighborhood. I would stay in The Cottage again.

Cozy cottage
The cottage was incredibly cozy and parking was easy. It was attached to the owners home but with good privacy. We did most of our activities out of the house but it was very convenient and there are some amazing food places close, my personal favorite being mias Italian kitchen. Although there is no washer and dryer so keep that in mind. Overall great stay just not a lot of space for bags and unpacking but other than that 10/10!!

Great Neighborhood, Reasonably Priced, Limited Space
The neighborhood has a great feel of family, safety and hospitality. Anytime I asked someone on the street for directions, he/she was authentically cordial and welcoming. The price is the primary reason for choosing to stay here. It allowed me to do more with my grandsons than the cost of other places. Space is quite limited. The second bed was a blow up mattress on the kitchen floor. The property manager was a real plus. He was inviting, quickly responsive to the request for dishrags, called to make sure we had what we needed. I do not remember seeing a laundry, The wifi was easily accessible and a great benefit. The wooden stairs to the kitchen below were quite lovely. I would have liked to have been able to plug in my three-prong power cord to the plug at the kitchen table. However I was delighted to get to attend Bible class Wednesday night at the church of Christ on the route to the Metro!

Great experience!
I had to visit for business and couldn’t leave my family back home so we rented this place and it was amazing. Very clean and the location was very convenient. It was so close the DC that my family could go explore while I worked. I definitely recommend this place. Neighborhood is beautiful and quite peaceful.

Great host experience!
I was in town to pack up my son at college and found the owner super responsive and accommodating. As luck would have it the water heater died during our stay but Jack had it replaced and operational the same day he was notified. That level of service is unheard of and much appreciated as we didn't miss out on anything. Super clean space with everything we could need. Thanks Jack for an awesome stay!

This is a small but comfortable place to stay. The owner called our first day to make sure everything was good. When we had a problem figuring out the AC he came right over and showed us how it operated. We enjoyed our stay.

Spring Break Visit
This rental was clean and cozy. The space was perfect for a short visit where we needed a place to rest our bodies. The kitchen was adequately furnished and banana bread was waiting for us on the counter. In addition, there was a coffee maker with coffee, cream, and sugar. The bathroom included all the essentials: towels, soap, shampoo, and tp. The place is small, but it was all we needed. Jack was easy to communicate with for the booking and for checkout.

great little place!
The cottage was cute and cozy, we loved it. Close enough for us to walk to King Street and the Metro. Very quiet. We will stay here again for another visit to DC. Host checked in to make sure everything was good. The back patio will be really nice to enjoy in better weather.

Charming and Peaceful
The Cottage is a thoroughly charming place for two. Jack is a wonderful host and, as advertised, you'll only see him if you need assistance with something. The neighborhood is peaceful and it was a pleasure to be in walking distance of some great shops and restaurants. We'll definitely be back!

"King" bed is two TWIN BEDS pushed together
I was supposed to understand from the listing that this trundle bed that converts to a king is actually two twins pushed together. My husband and I didn't want to spend our weekend getaway sleeping across two twin beds that don't connect and aren't one solid mattress so we left. Owner did not refund and vrbo backed the owner.

Perfect for two
Everything about this location is great for two. It’s small but very cozy and clean. Jack is a top tier property manager and even though we had to cut out early, let me bank my unused nights for a future visit. We were on a work trip with 4 of us, with a 5th on the way to cover a sick worker, so in the end it was too small for our group at no fault of Jack. Just the way the cards fell. I will be back with the Mrs. at some point to relax and enjoy this quiet getaway in a vacation setting. Looking forward to it!
