“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“There was a horrible noise coming from our air conditioner and only stopped when th air actually turned on. Only discovered that when we got to bed at 2 am . Back up at six hardly slept cause the noise. The breakfast was nothing to write home about .”

“Parking was secure, smelled like pee everywhere, trash in the lot, everything was slam packed. No parking control, came out to my car with 3 dings in it that were not there prior to our stay. The room was awful, crumbs in every corner. Sheets were stained, cockroaches / spiders in beds & bathroom. The whole room smelled like someone had just smoked 3 packs of cigarettes. Overall, a horrible experience. Would NOT RECOMMEND. ”
