Fireplace did not work, I believe it’s more of an architectural feature than a functional one. Overall, we lived the space and were happy with our stay. There was also a couple of good restaurants nearby. We only interacted with staff a couple times, they were kind, but quiet and reserved. Perfect for introverts like us. Fireplaces were crackling and guests were really made to feel welcome for a respite after a long day of travel. We arrived in the evening and it was so peaceful and serene. If you're looking for solitude, this is definitely the place to stay. The breakfast was also delicious. They served homemade quiche, bagels, fresh fruit and yogurt, fresh pastries, juices, and assorted coffees and teas. I wish I had a longer stay, but I will definitely return. I couldn't ask for a better stay or better host.
