“This place was very clean and spacious. We loved having a big living room as well as a bedroom. The location is also great because you're right across the bridge from downtown Newburyport. We would walk over and it was only a 15 minute walk to all the restaurants, and you got beautiful views of the water along the way. The only complaint was the walls are VERY thin. There were people in the room next to us having a conversation, not even loud, and we could hear every word as if they were in the……

“The room was very nice and roomy but did have a bit of a musty smell upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the fact that they offered breakfast was a nice touch. The biggest drawback really was the stairs. They are quite steep and difficult to maneuver with luggage. I saw another guest fall trying to navigate his luggage. I never would have gotten my big suitcase up the stairs by myself. I do have to say that the person at the front desk offered assistance if needed,……

“It’s an old hotel, so don’t expect modern day upgrades in the rooms. The hotel IS great. Our room was good. A few things wrong with room but no bad, sort of. Our a/c unit didn’t work, so we had to leave the window open our entire 4 day stay. Not bad. There IS, also, a big window in the shower, which is facing the street. Talk about putting a show for all those outside. Our room had a great view, and so did the outside looking in. It’s even worse when showering, or using bathroom at night. Beware……
