“The bed and pillows smelled awful. The ceiling was peeling. And being in the room caused my asthma to be extremely bad, pretty sure there was mold. But the front desk people were great ”

“Cool vibe. Liked the adults only aspect. Only downside was that the outdoor hot tub was broken. They did allow us access to the indoor hot tub at their adjacent property as an alternative.”

“I was in Stowe last weekend and broke my shoulder so the next day I stopped by the Grey Fox inn to ask the if they could please cancel my reservation because of my accident. I was aware I had made the reservation through Expedia and was also aware that the cancelation date was over due. I explained the situation to the front desk girls (2) and both said I had to contact Expedia. I did, Expedia contacted the hotel and the hotel said no...I'm sure they double sold my room since they know I was not……

“Friendly staff, decent off street parking, clean room and bathroom. Way too hot with no way to turn down the heat, had to open the windows all night in the middle of winter. Breakfast doesn’t start earlier than 0730.”

“The room was very clean and cozy, and the owner was incredibly nice and hospitable. My favorite part of the stay was the breakfast and the free cookies. What really stood out to me was how accommodating the owner was. My brother decided to join us last minute even though I had booked for only three people. I reached out to let her know, and she kindly updated the booking to four guests without any extra charge. I truly appreciated her flexibility and hospitality. I definitely recommend!”

“The whole experience was very enjoyable. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and inviting. The breakfast each morning was expertly prepared and very delicious. Ashley is a great cook very welcoming and she was a help to us by recommending great places to go eat and visit. We also got really nice coffee mugs that we really like. They are very high quality for a very good price. Overall this place is amazing and we would recommend it to anyone.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the inn especially coming to a hot tub after a whole day on the slopes. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was always fresh. Our room was nice and clean with a wonderful view to the mountain. We were on the lower floor so we could hear a lot of noise from the guests upstairs which was the only downside. ”

“Butler House speaks of itself: a house with the amazing management of a great butler - the result of the dedication of the owner, Paul and his wife. Paul was so friendly and though he was always busy at the breakfast room, he always checked if we needed help Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and offered everything we need.The kitchen is big and we enjoyed cooking there. I used their washing machine and dryer and detergent and softener were available. Highly recommended for couples……
