"We asked for and were told we had late checkout at 2:00. They couldn’t accommodate 4:00, but for a fee could do 2:00. I okayed the fee. We got back from our massage in our last day and were locked out. We wasted 30 minutes of our paid for extra time to go down to the front desk to get it straightened out. The when we were back in the room a housekeeper walked in on me- naked , just out of the shower. Not the best way to end our trip. "

The property is also located a little away from the busy part of Ali’i drive, which makes it great to relax at the end of the day after a day full of activities but is conveniently located near beaches and grocery/convenient stores. I highly recommend the property to anyone planning a trip to Kona."

"We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip."

Condo is well kept, it had all necessary appliances and features a condo should have and even beach chair, snorkels and surf boards probably left by previous guests. It was a pleasure going to the pool and jacuzzi. There are a good number of Bbqs in good condition and kept clean. "Everything was great about the property. It's bigger than we expected. Big kitchen and living room. Great view on the patio/deck. The fees do add up to be a lot , but we knew about them prior to booking and just included them in the cost per night when budgeting. It's a little far away from kailua, but with the full kitchen next time we will do a few meals at the resort "

"We had a great, relaxing time while we were there. 3 pools along with 3 free BBQ grills to use. Next to the ocean and a golf course. We didn't need air conditioning since the trade winds either from over the mountains or the ocean keep the condo cool day and night. We will return again and request to stay at Kanaloa at Kona by OUTRIGGER again."

Dragonfly is only about a 6 minute drive from a great beach for snorkeling and swimming - Two Step, right next to the Pu'uhonua o Honoaunau (Place of Refuge), which is well worth a visit. Staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting again in the future."
