They picked us up from the train station and upon arrival at the hotel, a staff member discussed the amenities, use of the onsen and will answer any questions. The ryokan has a small outdoor onsen. "This was a perfect location for a quick stopover two nights one day in Atami. Smart room - check in and out was smooth. And the Japanese breakfast with decent coffee option hit the spot. Small breakfasts work for us. We recommend the floors get a better cleaning - sticky floor which was surprising as the place was spotless otherwise. Perhaps a mop was not functioning? Speaking of the meals, they were also top-of-the-line full course experiences that gave you no room for wanting more: both delicious and filling. To top it off, the room we stayed in was immaculate and nailed the traditional feel you would want from a ryokan, accompanied with an awe-inspiring view from our outdoor onsen. All-in-all, it was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Hakone."
