“The host couldn’t have been more helpful. He allowed an early check in, made sure the ac was going, showed us around the property, and gave us recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. The property is extremely well maintained and it was nice and quiet when we were there. Be sure to read what amenities are provided (I didn’t) as there are no toiletries provided in the bathroom. Fortunately, I always have some in my luggage. The price is very reasonable and we will stay again if we are in……

4. PRIVATE PIER, "FLOUNDER FLATS" CABIN ON COPANO BAY

Rockport

“We stayed at the Flounder Flats cabin which was exceptionally accommodating and very clean. It had everything we needed even the kitchen area with all the necessities necessary to cook some meals. The convenience of a private fishing peer with chairs and nets was spot on. We have stayed at other locations that didn't have these features. Loved staying there and highly recommend this location.”

10. Waterfront Cabin with Amazing Private Fishing Pier and 6 Acres on the bay

Port Lavaca

“We had a great week of fishing. Had a lot of rain during our stay which wasn't that fun but we still caught a lot of fish. Used the crab trap at night to catch crab to then use during the day to use as bait to catch huge black drum off the dock. Most of the nights the guys were able to almost limit out on trout as well as catching a few small reds (not keepers) and even a flounder. The property is very quiet and we loved that part. I did decide that I'm not much of a fan of RV camping myself……

13. Cozy Waterfront Cabin Minutes from the Beach

Palacios

“This is a beautiful quiet area. House was very clean. If you are coming because of the pool you need to check with host first. It was covered and not available to us. There had been storms in the area and he was unable to maintain it. The yard was beautiful. He has a kayak and small boat to use. Property is right on the creek. This is close to both Matagorda and Palacios, so beaches, fishing and restaurants are close. Very nice stay.”

16. THE KEYS OF POC Unit # 5 one bed w/loft and bunk beds

Port O'Connor

“This tiny house was perfect for my husband and I visiting family for a long weekend of fishing in Port O’Connor. The place was clean and obviously pretty new. The only problem was the bed in the bedroom could not sleep two normal sized adults - the slats holding the mattress kept falling down and it was very uncomfortable. I’d suggest an updated queen size bed in that room even though it will be a tight fit. That upgrade would make it a perfect place to stay!”
