"Overall a good place to stay. Nice and close to the historic district, with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel was elderly with a few rough edges, but fine. Staff were friendly, and the laundry service was good. Internet service, though, was not great - spotty coverage, low speeds, and there was a complete outage for a couple of hours one day. Also, for the technically minded, you cannot establish an outgoing VPN connection - for some reason it is blocked."

"The place looks like old, the pictures lie, it was not clean, the restroom had soap open, no toilet paper or towels. There is no elevator,the street is congested and loud from people. The floor was dirty and not mop or sweep. "We had a fantastic 1 night staycation. On check in we mentioned to the wonderful front desk agent that we were celebrating our anniversary and she said congratulated us and kept things subtle. This morning at breakfast we were presented with a personalised card and a lovely platter with treats. What a fabulous surprise. The servers also wished us and it was great to get such acknowledgement. The hotel facilities too were fantastic. The rooftop terrace bar, lounge, pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. We had the pool to ourselves at sundown and this morning also had a reservation for the steam, sauna and jacuzzi which was a fab experience in private at no extra cost. To have all these fantastic amenities included in what I believe to be a very very reasonable rate, makes this hotel a very under rated and great value for money hotel. I'd highly recommend and fantastic service by the front desk agent. She really made our stay special"
