“Hotel room was nice and clean. Plenty of space. The pool was closed the whole time but we were able to lay out on the tanning chairs. The access to the “beach” was closed off due to not being ready for guests. We did not use the weight room but did visit it. Not much there but enough to get a small workout in while on vacation. There isn’t much near the hotel. We had to uber to Catania and Taormina for things to do.”

“Hotel Sonia is set in a stunning setting clinging to the side of a mountain overlooking Mt Etna. She is beautiful but in need of an update and more care around the property. It is clean, the staff helpful and courteous, the rooms ok, breakfast is great, bar service ok, and the village it is in is definitely worth the detour.”
