The room was enormous and very comfortable, with everything I needed. It was the perfect temperature and almost unnervingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, grosses und gepflegtes Zimmer und Bad mit grosser Dusche. Sehr viel Ablagefläche im Bad und wohlriechende Pflegeprodukte. Das Doppelbett war sehr, sehr bequem und das Hotel sehr ruhig, so dass ich wunderbar schlief. Das Frühstück konnte am Vortag ausgewählt werden. Das „english breakfast“ wurde dann frisch zubereitet und war einfach wunderbar. Der junge Mann sehr zuvorkommend und sehr motiviert und freundlich. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen und ich kann das herzige Guesthouse sehr empfehlen. Schade fand ich, dass per Mail davor niemand zu erreichen war. Ich hatte eine Frage/Bitte bezüglich Gepäck zwischenlagern. Ich mailte mehrmals eine Woche davor. The room was very good and the breakfast excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We travelled by train. We went by bus to Beamish using the local bus app. Crook Hall gardens, the Cathedral and the castle all worth visiting and in easg walking distance. The postcode took me straight to it, but it's difficult to see it as it's high up to your left side on a one way street. Parking is available opposite the hotel but the road is quite narrow & the cars are parked at around 37 degrees outside a few working men's clubs. The Hotel will provide a token for parking, but after checking I used my disability card which meant I was parked for free the few days we stayed. The rooms are bright & fresh, the beds are comfortable & clean as the room & hotel is. Breakfast was served at the time we asked & was just right to start the day, thanks to the staff who did this for us. The hotel is very neatly sited for all areas of the town & cathedral. Although the walk up the one way street isn't a pushover by any means. Clean, comfortable bed and room; welcoming and friendly staff; lovely cooked breakfast, not overloaded and enough choice too; room had view of cathedral and castle. Thought the standard of accommodation was comparable to a good hotel.
