We stayed at this resort from Sunday through Thursday in January, and the weather was absolutely wonderful. Coming from winter in Pennsylvania, the 80-degree temperatures were amazing and much appreciated.
I booked our stay through Expedia as a package deal, and the checkout time was listed as 11:00 a.m. However, the resort’s actual checkout policy is 10:00 a.m., and they charge $75 per hour for any time stayed past checkout. This was contrary to what was posted on Expedia and was not clearly communicated.
Upon arrival, the front desk staff seemed very short in their interactions. I didn’t take it personally and assumed it was due to being busy. Our room, however, was clean and a great size for a couple.
The pool was decent and not crowded with children, which was a plus for us. The bartenders were kind, engaging, and very attentive—definitely a highlight of our stay. There are cats walking around the property, which didn’t bother us at all (I’m a cat lover).
Transportation via taxi can be quite expensive, and some drivers seem to make up their own prices, making it feel like a very lucrative business in the area. Pueblo Supermarket nearby is convenient, but if you’re looking for cheaper liquor, the gas station next to the market had prices about $20 less than the resort or the supermarket. Be aware, though, that food overall is expensive.
At checkout, the reception staff were unfortunately very rude, with noticeable attitude and a lack of hospitality.
