“It rained the day we arrived and when we got there, the whole kitchen and living room were flooded and the rug was soaked for the whole 7 day trip so the whole house stunk of mildew the entire trip. We woke up sick every morning from breathing in the nasty air all night. I dont know if someone left the front door open allowing the rain water to come in during the storm but we would’ve enjoyed our trip better if we didn’t get sick every time we were in the house. “The Galleon House is so quaint and authentic, that we wouldn’t have stayed anywhere else! It is definitely a hike up a hill of steps, which fits into the location perfectly. The room was clean with a great balcony, air conditioning, adequate amenities for an island getaway, perfect options for continental breakfast with nice strong coffee, a refreshing pool, beautiful flora with lizards and a kittie mascot welcoming us each morning, a great central location, and very helpful, wonderful staff. ……

“The space itself is beautiful and the view is amazing however- thereis a washer and dryer on the photos but no washer and dryer in the actual room or on the property, there is a television in the room however upon my children turning it on, it was completely broken-displaying a white screen with a huge black splotch and lines and there were stains on our bedsheets, in both bedrooms and on a pillowcase. Communication with the property owners was fast and reliable. We notified them of the stains……

“Do NOT get the ocean view rooms. They will play loud music til 10-10:30 every night in a big sand pit not 50 yards from the tower you will be in. Beautiful place put this really killed the vibe”

The WiFi barely works, and the TV doesn’t connect properly, which made it frustrating to relax in the room. The bathroom was also poorly stocked no shampoos or basic toiletries provided, which is something most places include without question. “Could be such a nice property, It’s totally run down, dirty rooms. No beach towels, when request, phone in room didn’t work. Coffee machine dirty, ice machine, dirty. No good restaurant service. Dusty ceiling fan above head. Completely horrible. The best thing and only good thing was the view.”
