Great Stay Beautiful Home
We had a wonderful time. The house is located nicely on a secluded street which is great if you have little kids. All the accommodations were great. The only thing that we had a problem with was the temperature not being even on all the levels. It was very hot upstairs and in the same time very cold downstairs. It would be nice if the house had two thermostats. Overall we had a pleasant holiday stay. Awesome hot tub! Large beautiful living room. Ale the bedrooms had their own bathroom which was awesome. Definitely recommend this property to a family trying to get away from the city.

Pros and Cons
The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for our family of 12 was perfect. All were clean. The contact person was very helpful and responsive which was necessary as the rest of the house was very disappointing. We could not use the sliding glass doors to the deck as they were broken. I’m assuming that’s why the glass hadn’t been cleaned in some time, as well. The door to the screened in porch was extremely hard to open and its door to the deck was so warped, it wouldn't close without depressing the handle and pulling it shut several times. The picnic table on the deck was also warped and in such need of refinishing that we didn't even bother to serve a meal there. As for the deck, it too was in desperate need of care. Boards were warped, nails stuck out, and the boards themselves had not been stained or refinished in quite some time. Soffits and most of the trim had also been sorely neglected. The description said there was a fire pit but you would have to provide your own firewood which could be bought at stores along the way and so we did. Only to find out it wasn't a pit, but rather a fire table. There were other amenities listed that were also not as advertised. The kitchen was well-stocked but haphazardly put away. Finding what you needed was time intensive. The refrigerator was clean but the cabinets had not been wiped down in a very long time. For what was billed as a boutique home, this dwelling did not live up to boutique standards in any way, shape or form.

Perfect!
While I'd hate for the cat to get out of the bag(!)...this was the best of the places we have stayed in the Territories. The hot tub was by far the easiest, least slippery, cleanest, and HOTTEST tub of the three we have stayed in. There was space for everybody to be ALL in the same room while doing different things! Great family memories had by all. Consensus of the fam was THIS is the place for us!

Big, Beautiful and Perfect for a Group
This beautiful house was perfect for our recent girls getaway! The house was huge and incredibly well appointed. Each of the 6 bedrooms has its own en-suite. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub. It is easy to get to downtown Galena, which we did for dinner one night. When we arrived, we could not turn on the fireplace so we texted the Owner and within minutes it was fixed!

Wonderful getaway!
We truly enjoyed our time here! The house perfectly accommodated our family retreat. It was a quiet and peaceful stay but we were close enough to downtown Galena and some other surrounding activities to provide us with things to do.

The house is beautiful
The house is beautiful, the only down fall was it was not that clean, and it didn’t smell clean, the beds had hair in them, and stains on almost all of the sheets, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept. I did report the issues to the owner and he responded right away which was good and sent housekeeping over right away. But just knowing we didn’t have clean sheets on the beds when we arrived was not a good look for this beautiful home.

This was a very nice home, clean and well maintained. It fit our group of 12 and our dog very comfortably. Only complaint is that we tried to use the hot tub on our last night and it had a very bad smell to it. The kids jumped out quickly because of the smell and we put them all in the jacuzzi tub instead. They enjoyed that! Aside from the hot tub everything was great. I would recommend this home and I’m sure they’ll look into the hot tub…. Didn’t message the property manager since it was our last night and it wouldn’t have made a difference at that point.

Just an excellent fully equipped property perfect for our family gathering. .
Having lost our wife, mother, grandmother from our family in April we decided for our family to all meet in one location at Christmas to celebrate her life. We enjoyed conversation, laughs, games, cooking in the kitchen, and eating/shopping in Galena. We all shared the opening of gifts as well as the reading of the Christmas story and carol singing while thinking of her at your wonderful home. An absolute beautiful setting. The house comfortably accommodated all 11 of us. We took a day to just stay in play pool, sit in the hot tub and play games. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching a family of wild turkeys come through looking for food. We even got to watch a bald eagle flying over the house. At night the Milky Way illuminated the sky. Great time and a great home.

We are a group of women who thoroughly enjoyed the home. Our only problem was adjusting the air conditioning. Freezing on the lowest level and sweltering on the top level. Philip was very prompt with his response to our problem.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was beautiful. Everyone loved having their own bathroom in their room. The hot tub was a hit and the robes a nice touch. Long family weekend.
We stayed four nights and wished we had stayed longer. The house was perfect. With six bedrooms and seven bathrooms privacy was not a problem. Our three year old grandson was with us and he was able to nap and go to bed early without noisy adults interrupting his sleep. The screened porch and deck were really nice and the hot tub was a huge hit. There was a cool breeze so towels and robes just steps away from the hot tub were much appreciated. We made some meals and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Beds and bedding were good quality and very comfortable. Overall great experience. We would love to come back. 👍
