“The room I got was okay before inspection. I got a king bed for the night and underneath the desk were three little chocolate-like, maybe even “Milk Duds” candy droplets along the floor. In the bathroom, the bottom of the shower curtain was stained with mold and it had this old-aged smell rather than a “clean” smell. There was some accumulation of dust within the room too, which just makes it seem like it was never touched at all. When me and my partner went to the desk to discuss these issues,……

“Only thing lacking in La Porte near the Blue Heron was EV chargers. Had a wonderful event at the Civic Center and will look forward to a stay during warm weather.”

“My room smelled of cat pee. My coffee maker did not work at all. The breakfast they served was just unbeatable. I had to ask them to change my sheets and empty my trash!! The vending machines were nowhere near acceptable! The night manager was rude! The floor i was on smelled of pure weed!! NOT ACCEPTABLE!! ”

“While, the lodge is charming, our room was freezing. We had the fireplace and heat as high as it would go. the room never got above 60. There was no blanket on our bed and no blankets were available in our room. The desk was unmanned after 11 and phone messages were unanswered. Hopefully, this issue has been corrected. ”

The lady at the Roulette table was very rude to us because we had never played the game before. She mumbled something under her breath and rolled her eyes. “We were pleasantly surprised by our room. The floors were clean. The bed was clean. Everything smelled good even in the hallway. There were no noisy neighbors and the balcony overlooking the water was peaceful and beautiful. We loved getting visits from the geese and the beautiful swan. I would absolutely stay there again.”

“Hotel and room nice and clean as per Hampton Inn as usual, no issues. Only issue was the lady at check-in, seemingly no idea how to talk to customers, not social at all. Not the first impression one wants upon entering a hotel.”
