"lovely hotel in secluded area of island!"
my husband and I chose this location because we did not want the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Island, and we had already stayed in the Rum Point area several times. The wyndham was lovely - front desk staff and welcome staff were very friendly and accommodating. all rooms face the ocean, so everyone has an oceanfront view. snorkeling right off the beach. we were away from the crowds, yet a quick drive got us to whichever location we wanted to see for that day. This hotel is not as fancy as some other hotels in the area, but very good value for the money. we will stay there again!

Planning the Right Time to Visit

To find the best deal, visit the Cayman Islands sometime between May and July, when the rates for hotels and resorts are typically lower. You can expect the islands' weather to be sunny and warm year-round with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. If you prefer cooler days, January and February have comfortable temperatures in the lower 70s. Rain is likely during the May through October months as it is considered the rainy season; however, showers are light and typically last only a few hours at a time. If you want to experience some of the Cayman Islands' rich culture, plan your family trip around one of its annual festivals and experience a one-of-a-kind tradition.

What to Do in the Grand Cayman Islands

Aside from the resorts in Grand Cayman, the islands have so much to offer you. Between attractions, food, and culture, you will never be lacking something to see or do. Just a 10-minute drive from Georgetown is the Cayman Islands Brewery. This brewery gives tours in addition to letting you sample as many of the locally made beers as you like. The Cayman Islands National Museum houses national treasures and history, giving you a taste of the local culture. If you've ever wanted to try your hand at riding a horse, the Spirit of the West operates horseback riding tours on the beach and into the water for a truly unforgettable experience. Of course, the Caribbean Sea itself offers plenty of places to swim, boat, and dive. The barrier reefs, Devil's Grotto, and the Kittiwake shipwreck are perfect areas for divers to explore. Stingray City offers children the unique chance to pet and interact with friendly marine life.

Grand Cayman Island resorts and hotels offer all of the amenities you would expect to receive from top vacation establishments. An abundance of swimming pools, gourmet restaurants, and impeccable beaches that lie along the turquoise waters of the Caribbean make for an unforgettable experience. Other amenities often include wireless Internet connections, refrigerators, and bottled water. Grand Cayman all-inclusive resorts typically house a relaxing spa as well.
