"Ive been down to Shawnee a few times for the New Year but this was our first stay (but hopefully not the last) at this great cabin. It was a great location - minutes from Garden of the Gods and close to our other favorite hikes in the Bell Springs area. The cabin itself was clean, with a nice kitchen, 2 nice bathrooms (with plenty of hot water) and bedrooms and fun stuff for the kiddos (my daughter loved the air hockey table). The hot tub was a real treat after a day of hiking in the cold....

"Me and my buddy stayed at this property for our annual Shawnee hike trip. The house was as described and only a short 1 minute drive from the Garden of the Gods outpost and only two miles from the Garden of the Gods entrance. We will definitely stay here again!"

"Minutes from Garden of the Gods and River to River Trail. Temps too hot so we tried to be on trail by 7:30. On dead end road but noisy compared where we live (not bad). Great wildflowers and birds. Loved having a full kitchen. My husband in hot every day."

"Our kiddo got such a kick out of staying in “her town” (our location was a surprise until we arrived)! The home was perfect! Well stocked & I loved how the layout was spread out, which gave us all privacy. The proximity of Garden of the Gods was great & we got to see the horses that live on the land. Relaxing in the hot tub after hiking was the best & we’ve decided we should make Elizabeth’s birthday in Elizabethtown a tradition! See you next year!"

"We loved our stay at The Southern. The property is amazing - beautiful, spacious, and wonderfully private. It's the perfect place to unplug from a busy life. The house is lovely and we immediately felt right at home. It's comfortable, spacious, and the kitchen has everything a home chef needs. We spent our mornings reading and playing guitar by the pond. Afternoons hiking at one of the many trails a short car ride away. We were sad to leave and definitely plan to return to this gem in the woods....
