The facilities are new but I think the hotel needs more training on the staff. We contacted the whenever whatever for at least 6 times and only two times they pick up the phone call. We asked them to deliver tooth paste and tooth brush. We only recieved two tooth brush. I mean this is common sense, how do you use tooth brush only to brush teeth? They also send someone who do not speak English at all. The next day we contact the whenever whatever to extend the check out time for one hour and she refused. I had to go to the front desk to tell the front desk staff to do so and the front desk staff said it's completely okay. We are so dissatisfied with the whenever whatever.

"The Struggle Between a 4 Star or 5 Star."
I struggled between this being a 5 star or a 4 star review and it comes down to my own not knowing what we wanted on our trip to Puerto Rico. First the Positive. The Wyndham is an absolute beautiful hotel with either a view of the Rain Forest Mountains or the Ocean. We preferred the Rain Forest Side. We had a really nice modern room, comfortable bed. Room Service was on point. What chose this Hotel because of the seclusion. Other reviews of Hotels in San Juan talked about the area being too touristy and overcrowded. What my wife and I did not take in to consideration is by choosing seclusion, any type of night life that you might enjoy i.e. dancing you are cutoff from. That is unless you want to take a taxi back to San Juan which is about $80 one way and or take a rental car and you are driving on roads you are unfamiliar with at night. When you inquire the Hotel Staff about it, they will very quietly let you know that they feel the same way and that other people inquire about the same thing but they are not really allowed to talk about it.

"Amazing facility with plenty of accommodations"
There is so much to do and experience, there really isn't any reason to leave the property once you arrive. Our only complaint is you are captive when there and the food, and items in all stores are extremely expensive. Other than that, we would go back in an instance if we had the opportunity. "Facility was nice. Staff - ok"
The facility had good upkeep and was clean. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Towels always seemed to be an issue, had to call the front desk numerous times for replacement bath and hand towels. The glaring problem is with the food and beverage staff. As a General Manager of an exclusive private club, I understand the importance of training and correct set up. The bar staff had neither. The bar was set up poorly and was not efficient at all. The bar staff were slow, non-acknowledging of guests and did not understand correct bar rotation to ensure all guests get served in the order of their arrival. Restaurant waitstaff was friendly, but food took a long time to be served. I hope this helps on some level.

"lovely room"
It was conveniently nice and close to a semi private beach which was amazing! Compared to other beaches around I loved having a beach to ourselves and the water being so clear and the sand so white! Drinks are expensive and nothing out of this world. We didn't get all inclusive because there are so many amazing restaurant options near by. Make sure you rent a car to get around, other than that pretty nice resort! P.S make sure you go and visit the Carabali ATV park, they are awesome and the tours are just as amazing!
