"We stayed here for a wedding nearby so honestly did not have a ton of time at the property. House has plenty of room for a larger group. Kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking. Directions for check in/check out were clear and owner was extremely communicative. Basement was kind of musty so we kept the sliding doors open when home. Hustisford is a smaller town than I anticipated so I’m happy we stocked up some groceries before arrival."

I was expecting a nice house, based on the photos, but was more impressed when we arrived because of how much care had obviously been put into renovating this charming old house with modern fixtures and cabinets, and the love that the owners put into making the house a great place to stay. "There are some rentals where they give you barely enough (i.e. 3 towels, 12 knives, 4 spoons, and 1 fork) but that is NOT this rental. This rental seriously has MORE than ANYTHING you could need. We appreciated the abundance of towels/washcloths, eating utensils, outdoor seating, etc. The owner shares the duplex and should anything go wrong, I am confident she would make it right. She is a delightful person and wants to make sure your visit is more than you expect. She is very accommodating...

"The ranger house is spacious with big kitchen, deck & living room, 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The deck is badly in need of refurbishing. There are sleeping cabins in the park so extra family members can join you. The path to the lake is hilly and the approach to the pier needs work. The kitchen did not have a toaster which was a real disappointment and we were unsuccessful trying to reach the host. There are a lot of pluses for this rental and we will probably use it again. "Great clean place. Floors are a bit wobbly in places but it's an old house. A few transitions (may wanna mark them) cause the old folks to trip and stumble. Two bedrooms upstairs. Only bathroom is on first floor. Very well stocked kitchen. Did I say it's clean? super clean and comfy! Awesome stay (I'm nit picking above)."

"It is a quiet location on the lake. Nice yard. Neighbors are kind and will leave you alone or talk to you....your choice. Home is clean and comfortable. LOVE the deck! We were able to enjoy the birds early in the morning with our coffee. This is a place to relax."

"The house had everything we needed for a week stay. Lots of games in the basement for kids to play. Kayaks and paddle boat were great for the kids when the weather was nice. We caught lots of fish both off the dock and out on the lake. I will say the lake is over run with catfish, but we caught lots of crappie too. Will definitely consider coming back in a few years when my niece graduates. Thanks for letting us stay!"

"Great location. Town is less than a mile away…an easy walk for coffee or more. This home is family friendly with 2 kayaks & 2 kiddie kayaks & all sizes of life vests…on & on. We enjoyed the BBQ grill…The deck overlooking the lake is fab/both main floor deck & walkout basement seating below. Good times!"
