"Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and maintained. Gym was large enough to house many. And while there were many people, you did not feel crowded or rushed. Diner on site was convenient and both food and service were good. Central location."

"BEWARE!!! After our 4-night stay, we were charged a $500 smoking fee. We are non-smokers and 100% did not smoke in the room. I spent 10 days and made 7 calls attempting to resolve this issue with hotel management, but they refused to remove the charge. Their position was essentially that they did not believe us, despite us repeatedly explaining that we do not smoke. What is most concerning is not just the excessive amount of the fee, but being charged for something we did not do and then being treated as though we were being dishonest. The hotel claimed we “smoked” in the room approximately 30 minutes before checkout after a 4-night stay, which makes very little logical sense. I initially tried to handle this professionally and directly with management, but since they were unwilling to work cooperatively, I feel it is important to warn future guests. Be aware that you could potentially leave your stay with a significant charge for something you did not do."

"Room was very spacious, perfect for the solo traveller looking for some personal space. Bed was comfortable and cozy, i felt like a squirrel sleeping on a nice cabin during a snowstorm. Everything was kept well cleaned, and front desk staff were friendly, funny, and always willing to help! Will 100% come for my next NYC stay."

"The Public is situated in a great location near China Town. Little Italy, and SoHo. It’s a pretty fast cab ride to Midtown and downtown. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant because it was closed. The café was pretty good with breakfast food, fresh juice, and coffee. Housekeeping was very accommodating and the room was clean and orderly. There are things in the room that are comfortable for example thats a bit awkward, for example, there was no place to hang a towel in the bathroom area, no Kleenex, and no hairdryer, so I had to request these items. There are no hooks so you have to place it somewhere close to the shower, which is very tiny. The design is very much like the Edition hotel near Times Square, which I’ve stayed at several times and I enjoy because there is an amazing restaurant and bars. It’s very minimalist design. The table could use one more chair and better quality seating/chairs. I did not get a chance to sample the rooftop bar, but I will have to do that on my next journey or the club for that matter. The front desk staff was very helpful in anything that I needed. Andy, the front desk manager was also very accommodating. I typically stay in upscale properties in Midtown and this hotel really held its own against bigger brands that are more luxurious. It has a younger vibe, which was fine. Overall, a very comfortable stay."

"This was a great stay at the Americana Inn. The staff is friendly, I was able to check in early, since my room was available, at no extra charge and they had a standard baggage drop for before and after your stay if you needed to wait closer to check in time. The room and property was very clean and the Inn is conveniently located from Port Authority with access to anything you want to see in NYC if your a tourist, or frequent visitor. Id definitely stay here again onnfurture visits."
