"You know how people have a top 3 list of something? This ranks third in my bottom 3. I've been to worse hotels, but this one was a great contender to the other two. I don't know where to start. It was loud, it was extremely dirty, and walking down the halls felt like walking into a dive bar or down the street where bums urinate frequently. Though we had a non-smoking room, the entire place smelled like stale cigarettes and deep regret. ZERO amenities or basic hotel items like toothpaste, shampoo, iron, etc. You have to go to the front desk and pay them for those things... Which they didn't have on-hand. They took my I'd and a ten dollar deposit for the use of a hair dryer and an iron, but never provided the hair dryer. Their vending machine me gave the wrong items and they had no drinking water. The "renovations" we're done by... Well... Let's just say you get what you pay for. The got water and cold water knobs were reversed and only half the water actually came out of the showerhead. The temperature fluctuates, so while you showered, it was back and forth between really hot and really cold water the entire time, no rhyme or reason. Housekeeping left trash from the previous guest on the floor in the bathroom, so that was awesome. I highly suggest you keep your shoes on the entire time, the carpets look like they survived a nuclear blast and the top blankets were probably purchased in the mid 80s and are faded and threadbare. Management? Same caliber and quality."

"Breakfast was typical. It’s fine. Their room service protocol is odd I think. They ask if you want daily freshening. Then, they changed out the used coffee cups but not the glasses??? The value is good for the price. "

"I was given an "upgrade" from a two-queen room to a king suite with a king bed and a fold-out bed. I was told blankets and pillows would be delivered so the fold-out would be usable, which, by the way, would require moving furniture to do so. I followed up on blankets/pillows three times, and finally, at midnight, I gave up. The "upgrade" was a lie, and I ended up paying over $400 for a space that was, for all intents and purposes, unusable. Add to that the fact that the entire lobby looked like it had been hit by a tornado, and the extremely rude staff. I will definitely not book there again, which is unfortunate because the location is ideal. "

"Room was okay. Door to patio stuck slightly open. Bathroom did not have any place to hang towels, except one short rod for a hand towel. Check-in was fast and easy. Gentleman who helped us was efficient and friends. During our two night stay, DeeDee worked the front desk over the weekend. She greeted guests as they entered, asking about their breakfast or their day. Truly a GREAT representative of the hotel. We easily walked to Royals games just across the street. Great location."

"1. The value was terrible (cost vs worth) 2. The quality of the hotel was poor and many things in the room did not meet basic standards like the shower door on able to close for several inches 3. The area did not feel safe 4. Noise isolation was very poor ... could easy hear conversations outside the room, outside the hotel, next room over , etc 5. I'd never stay there again even for $50 6. Just felt like an old construction with a few makeovers. "
