"Our flight was moved out ab extra day and when i atttempted to cancel and rebook for the next day, I was going to be charged a three hundred dollar cancelation fee for a room of less than three hundred so i just kept the room and never used it and found a better hotel."

"We have been coming to the New Yorker for many years. Older hotel that's bones have some character. Some of the cheaper rooms are small. Staff is always accommodating, and location can't be beat."

"The hotel is in a central location; subway is at the corner. While it says there is no front desk staff, they do always have someone at the front; just in case. But the convenience of receiving all the information the day of is great! You don’t have to stress about making it for check-in. While the restroom did have some rust around the tub, the sheets were clean and the room it self was clean too. Would definitely stay again( I hardly was ever there just needed a safe place to sleep) if that’s what you are looking for definitely recommend. "

"The staff are great,the bar area is also such a fun spot but the hallways, common areas and doors are looking a little tired."

"Our stay in New York was amazing! The hotel location is incredible and made it very easy to explore the city. The hotel itself is very good, super clean and organized, and we felt very comfortable during our stay. We loved everything! As a suggestion, it would be great if they had a minibar in the room, as it would make the experience even better. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!"

"There's no elevator. There are helpful employees that will carry you bag up 3 long flights of stairs. But if they are not around, you're stuck carrying your bags. My only real complaint about the hotel."
