It was plenty big enough for a couple, had a comfortable bed, hot & strong shower, good heating, working teapot, fast wi-fi, and charming rustic decor. The main lodge has a wonderful big fireplace, museum, gift shop, and Harvey's restaurant. Food was fine. Breakfast oatmeal was wonderful, with nuts & berries; others got giant egg skillets. Dinner was hearty & wholesome, scaled for hungry hikers. Another night we had a more gourmet meal at the steakhouse which is attached but entered through a different door, so in but not of the hotel. Neither of us had steak--went in the fish direction. Great breads, salads, sauces, desserts. Both restaurants had good wine selection. We would go back to Bright Angel Lodge again.
