"Very nice home! Pictures are as advertised and the home was very clean. The area surrounding the home is dilapidated, however, the home is very nice. The only two issues with the house are 1) the walls are very thin and you can hear the road noise and every step the people above take very clearly. 2) there is an issue with the municipal pipes of the town and my last night of the stay the water in the shower and bathroom sink was coming out yellow. Overall a very nice option in this small town."

"This pains me to write because this could’ve been a great little stopping point, however the bathtub was actually filthy. It smelled like urine and there is a dark grey film that needs to be scrubbed off. I get that old tubs can have stains but these are not stains and could’ve been removed with cleaner and elbow grease. "We stayed here for a Valentine’s fisherman’s weekend on Lake Marion, and the outdoor space is truly special. The private dock, quaint sandy beach area, and large backyard make it perfect for fishing, relaxing, and enjoying the lake. It’s a great setup for families and anyone who loves authentic lake living. The home reflects a true rustic lake house experience, with updated stainless steel appliances, an excellent shower, and one of the most comfortable mattresses. Peaceful, spacious, and true to the spirit of the lake. We would definitely check its availability again when visiting the Santee area."
