"We loved this home and want to share why “THOUGHTFUL” is the best word to describe it. The VRBO pictures do a great job of setting expectations, but there were many extras that made it feel more like staying at a friend’s home than simply renting a house for a week. • Propane for the outdoor grill, wood pile for the fire pit • Snacks as a nice welcome • Coffee and tea supplies • TONS of beach supplies (chairs, wagon, “noodles”) • Abundance of dishes, pans, silverware and utensils • Lots of seating and large dinner table • Huge TV’s in in the family area and each bedroom • Plenty of A/C capacity! • Huge bathrooms • Cargo elevator to make getting your things upstairs a breeze • Shade over parts of the pool, providing a break from the sun • Property security...driveway gate for cars, pedestrian gate for walking The location was great. It’s a relatively quiet spot between Gulfport and downtown Biloxi. We could get to Wal-Mart and the mall in no time. It’s also next door to “Beauvoir”, which was Jefferson Davis’s summer home. We took the tour and visited the museum and library there, which were very educational. The beach is a five-minute walk, and there is a Circle K en route to the beach, which was nice. We felt like we had our own private beach with dunes and everything. I don’t think we saw 10 people on the beach all week. If you choose to vacation at this location, I think you’ll be glad you did and hope you agree thoughtfulness abounds!"

"We loved our stay at this home! We brought our boat down, Eric, the owner, was fantastic in helping us get it situated, giving us great ideas on where to take our family for boat trips, and helped us find all of the best restaurants. He is truly a very kind owner and made us feel very much at home. And his pup, Trace, was a complete joy to play with. Aside from boating, there are so many fun and close things to do with family. The house was the perfect layout for us… Two great bedroom suites on opposite sides, living and kitchen in the middle, it was a very quiet home and neighborhood, and the most beautiful views, both evening and morning off the back deck. The home is very well appointed, comfortable, and our entire experience was one our family enjoyed very much! Thank you, Eric!"

"We have been vacationing at the Mermaid Landing since it became available on VBRO. It has not ever been a disappointment. It’s the perfect location for quiet time with the family. But close enough to get the full experience with the beach and casinos! Enjoyed sitting out on the porch listening to the birds chirping and watching the fish jump in the lake. Mr. Jimmy is very kind and helpful. Always available if you need something. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would. My husband and family come here every year since it became available and plan on going back again next year!"

"We had a great time. It was a beautiful house just like pictures on Vrbo. Very clean. Great communication with host. Pool was dirty when we got there due to rain the day before. Contact the owner and they had it cleaned within a couple hours. Highly recommend this house. We will be back."
