“I had a very nice stay at the Open Arms Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was first class with a view over the village green and very comfortable.
The lounge area with the open fire is lovely and relaxing being able to have a pre- dinner drink and review the menu.
It was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning again in the very near future.”

“Very dated and scruffy. Mould on window wood. Holes in curtain. Toilet needing bleach
Soundproofing non existent- could hear neighbours’ conversations and coughing through night. Creaking floors
Not a nice experience and half price would have been too much

“Stopped here for a couple of nights for work.
The room was a decent size with a big bed and everything was clean
The shower pressure was really poor but nothing you cant work around
Breakfast and the evening meals were really good and the benefit of the pub on the front was nice for a chilled evening”

“We stayed for weekend friday to sunday. The Hotel is a traditional scottish village hotel doubling as village pub, with an old fashioned layout including a seperate entrance for the bar. So to use the bar you actually leave the hotel and re enter the bar. Some will find that quaint and charming
The room was comfortable, clean and warm and everything worked. Breakfast was excellent and service was attentive.
This is a small village hotel not a chain. Service reflected that, nice and attentive……
