I had also asked for 4 twin rooms but there was only 3 given and the other wad a double. Additionally there was only one bath towel in 2 of the rooms and no toilet brushes”
“The property is situated near North Berwick and has beautiful gardens. The building itself is a bit tired. Our room was disappointing for the grade of hotel. Coffee facilities were basis (one packet of two pieces of shortbread to share!). The cooked breakfast was lovely but the continental selection was very poor compared to similar hotels and given that one of the main selling points of the hotel is the Chez Roux restaurant. Cleanliness not what we would have expected either - some litter……
“A top traveller’s rest inn. Located in a quaint quiet village with some nice walks and scenery. Had a clean and spacious room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Food and atmosphere in the adjoining pub was excellent as were all the staff there.”
