“We had a weekend away and enjoyed our room with a sea view. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Parking was difficult one night as they had a private function on who took all of the spaces. Staff were always helpful and we would stay again.”

“The Berberry is a great place to stay, just 10 minutes walk from the station or the seafront, and offers a very comfortable bed with a great breakfast to set you up for the day ahead!!! We were warmly welcomed, and the information Steve shared about local restaurants helped us to find some delicious seafood even on a bank holiday weekend!! Wendy’s delicious homemade cake was a lovely addition to a relaxing cuppa in the garden on our arrival, and the breakfast menu covers all tastes, including……

“If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). I requested a room change and the manager was very accommodating and moved me to a room that was a lot nicer but still on the front below the bar because of my dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended……

“We only booked one night as we were attending a show at the Princess theatre...kind of glad as our room was sadly in need of maintainence and cleaning.”

“A good location to explore Torquay, Babbacombe and the surrounding area. Very well maintained clean place, car parking in front of the building. Very convenient location to the centre/harbour ( less than 10 mins by car). Darren & Jo are very helpful and friendly hosts. Nice breakfast, pre order the night before and it's served right on time, delicious. We were very happy staying there!”

“Julie and Gary were absolutely lovely and super helpful. They helped heat up milk for our little one and were friendly the hole time. I would say I think personally found the mattresses slightly uncomfortable, may be a preference. The only true negative, so the reason it was not 5 stars for us was the shower was weak, so couldn't just stand underneath it, had to hold it over the body part to clean. Aside that, amazing place, lovely people! Thank you both.”
