"It was a great space, 3 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. My only complaint was the 3 flights of stairs for the luggage, but I can't fault it for that. It was communicated in advance and to get anywhere to stay in Salem during October we were lucky. Especially a place that close to everything. I strongly recommend against bringing a car, parking is very tight motorcycle is fine, renting a blue bike is pretty great honestly for Salem so highly recommend. It is a bit of a walk to downtown, but it's doable from that location and we're not spring chickens who even touch a gym so that should tell you something about it's walkable nature. Honestly I loved the spot would definitely go there again"

"The facility appears to be new and exceptionally clean. The rooms a large with comfortable furniture. The bathrooms are well equipped and clean. You get a combination code for your room which is nice. No need to keep track of a key. There is plenty of parking for now but more rooms are being built. Cell phone service (at least Verizon) is TERRIBLE around the hotel. They have WIFI that works fairly well in the evening, but I found that when the staff is in the office, WIFI performance degrades a great deal. I don't know what they are doing to sap the bandwidth. For television, they provide Roku boxes on TVs. You can use your home account to access whatever streaming service that is supported by Roku. Just make sure you delete the quick access link which is supposed to delete your personal streaming accounts. If you're looking at going into Salem for the museums, etc., it is about a 20 minute walk. The sidewalks are very uneven, so the walk could be troublesome for those with walkers and canes. For restaurants and stores, that 20 minute walk is necessary. There is a breakfast place with 4 or 5 tables that you can reach within 10 minutes by walking. The staff pointed out they have something called "Skipper" for transportation and provided a phone number. They really should have mentioned the need to set up an account with Skipper before trying to arrange a ride. A map of the area should also be provided at the hotel. Some are free at the attractions."

"This themed vrbo was great. We could walk everywhere or Uber if we wanted, but it is not far from the center of the action in Salem.I do, however, have a couple of suggestions for the property. First, we did like the fun theme of the place, but after a long day walking everywhere we like to come back, chat and relax in front of the t.v. The furniture in the livingroom was not comfortable for that. I suggest some different, comfier furniture. Second, I think a 10 a.m. check out is early! A bit later checkout would be nice!Overall the beds were very comfy and the space worked well for our stay!"

Even though the look of the room was “ dated “ it was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed .The only negatives were bringing luggage up a long flight of stairs to the second floor and if you happen to have noisy neighbors. Breakfast, next door at Daniel’s was delightful. Would highly recommend it if you are looking for an inn with “ character “."
