"I messaged the"host" numerous times and never received a response. VRBO couldn't get them to respond to them either. Read the fineprint. They advertise that the room sleeps 3. But there's just ONE bed. No sofabed...just one bed. I complained to VRBO that the listing was deceptive and they finally made it right...after arguing with them and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. So, if you don't mind sharing ONE bed with TWO other people, then by all means, stay there. "

Beachside Resort Panama City Beach

2/10 Terrible

"Had to wait over two hours for my room. They tried to accommodate with a different room after an hour or so, however the "ocean view" was completely blocked by by the patio above the bar, and there were stairs right in front of the patio with people walking up and down, smoking cigarettes. Everything in that room was broken, damaged, and dirty so I waited for another room (as far from the main floor as we could get). This room was a bit better, but still in poor condition. Front room blinds were missing big pieces so it let in a lot of the outdoor lighting at night. Patio is tiny. There is NO privacy for anything on the 1st/2nd floor patios - they are also a walkway for other people. No smoking areas are not enforced - the lobby reeked of cigarettes and weed. People smoking in the pool area. Floors everywhere were gross. Location was the only good thing as it was on the beach, but the beach there was also littered with trash and cigarettes. We will not be back."

"Upon our arrival at the lobby, the front desk agent who checked us in was very friendly. The beach view is spectacular, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The towels smelled fresh and appeared clean. However, the property is quite neglected. The furniture is very old, and the balconies were extremely dirty, including the walls. One of the walls appeared to be covered with bird droppings. Although the rooms have their own air conditioning controls, the system did not function properly. The room’s air vent was in poor condition, as were the bathroom exhaust fan and light fixture. The shower had very low water pressure and a weak water flow. The hallways and other common areas near the rooms also appeared dirty."

"The location is the best thing about this property. The pool looked nice although we did not use it. The beach access is super easy. Our room was Ocean view which was very nice. The check-in process was very simple, but the staff was not very friendly and did not provide any information outside of handing us a room key. The exterior was very old and rundown. The bathroom in our room desperately needs updating. The tub was not clean however, the sink and countertop have been updated and that part was clean and fresh. Our king bed was comfortable with clean sheets so that was a relief. They need doormats to wipe the sand as there is no carpet in the room. The small balcony had two chairs with a great view, but the AC unit was leaking onto the floor, causing a huge puddle with mildew, gross. The small tiki bar was a nice benefit, but the drinks are overpriced for the surroundings at that hotel. Our room rate was way too high, but we booked very late and it was the only thing left available in the area. It was a sufficient day for one night because we only used the room to shower and sleep. But I would not return to this property."

"We stayed on the third floor for 5 days. 2 adults and 1 teen. This property really needs some maintenance attention and could use some fresh paint. The elevator was broken a couple of times and we were unable to use it, our floor had multiple doors that would not lock for guest, so they left doors ajar, hot tub was out of order during the entire stay, the guest clothes dryer did not work properly, no batteries in the smoke detectors in our room and overheard a guest asking about it as well, remote did not work on the tv. Our shower was not draining because the shower the water pooled away from the drain. The office chair was also not great to use as it kept sliding down. Positives were the breakfast and the cleaning staff were very friendly, breakfast area was clean and decent food. We would not stay here again. Definitely nicer stays on the beach."

"My main concern was that the door in our room to the balcony bottom latch did not work and I have a 8 year old on the 6th floor. The AC leaves alot to be desired it doesn't work very well, room gets hot and humid. Also wish the beach chairs and umbrellas were still included in stay, there an extra $50 per day. Everything else was excellent."
