"Cable Mountain Lodge is THE place to stay if you wish to avoid using your car to visit Zion National Park. I'll agree it's not the cheapest place to stay in town, but it's by FAR, the most convenient. You can walk to the visitor center and if you wish, you can easily ride the shuttle to anywhere in town for dining. Pool is nice, and the convenience to the market and brew pub is great."

Near Springdale, Utah, on the edge of the Colorado Plateau lies Zion National Park, a spectacular destination of hanging gardens, jagged sandstone cliffs, shallow rivers, deep canyons, and desert trails. The Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is by shuttle bus only (except in winter), but you can take the Kolob Canyon Scenic Drive in your own vehicle. There are 3 campgrounds in the park—and Watchman Campground is open all year. The nearest international airport is Las Vegas (170 miles) with regional airports in Saint George (49 miles) and Cedar City (60 miles).
