“The Sandbar is being renovated. Only half of it is done. There is no check-in or no one to actually speak to. If there is a problem we had to talk with the workers. The outside bar is not set up yet. There was no iron or ironing board in the room. Having said that, the room was very nice and clean. The outdoor space was nice and functional, good view of the lake. They did have an indoor area with couches and a couple game tables. It will be a really nice place when it is complete!”

“We have stayed here several times over the years and have always enjoyed this little place. Always clean and friendly in a peaceful location. Unfortunately, the place is getting a little too pricey for a senior couple.”

“This place offers an affordable price compared to other hotels in Traverse City. I chose it mainly to have a place to sleep. I used silicone ear plugs to help with noise since the air conditioning unit and traffic can be loud. It has excellent hot water and a small refrigerator, which I really appreciate. There is plenty of parking. I will stay at this place again.”

“We booked this room because there was a pool and breakfast, and both were disappointing. The pool looked like it had a film over it of some kind of dust or something and needed to be skimmed, the breakfast was bagels and mini muffins, not terrible, but by booking a hotel with breakfast I was hoping to avoid buying breakfast which we still had to do. Our room was clean for the most part, the floor needed to be swept, but the bathroom was not, there was hairs from the previous person in the……

“Great classic house with lots of space to sprawl in a small town. Very relaxing. Good restaurants and grocery within 2 blocks.”

“Hotel was clean and well maintained. We arrived around 8:00pm and decided to eat at the restaurant on property. We were surprised to be told that the kitchen closes at 9:00. It’s a Casino Hotel. Food was average and staff friendly but not well trained. Our server did not know how to open the bottle of wine we ordered but was very grateful we taught her. Also disappointed that they only clean the room every 3 days. When we requested fresh towels they left a bag of towels outside our room……
