One note, and this was out of control of the host - there is ongoing construction of a new home next door, with early morning beeping trucks and workers. Even with that minor annoyance, a wonderful experience."

"We have been enjoying vacations on the Eastern shore for years. This year was outstanding! The property was private, yet close enough to go exploring to Chincoteague or Cape Charles! Thank you to Ellen and Dennis for making us feel comfortable, checking in to ensure all was well, and sharing their farm life with us! Our dog loved the ability to be off leash and get some swimming in! He also looked forward to Birdie coming to visit! We usually rent a home for the enclosed porch, but the week we were there, I spent days reading on the outer deck, enjoying the constant breeze and comfy deck chairs, with a great view of the farm! Hoping to be able to come back again! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

"We had a great time fishing and exploring the Eastern Shore and Virginia Beach. The cabin was beautiful and secluded. We really enjoyed sitting on the dock and fishing every evening. There were plenty of deer, bunnies, birds, and crabs to keep us company. Our dog loved playing frisbee and taking walks in the evening. There are lots of fun things to do in the area if you love the outdoors. If you don't mind a little longer drive, Virginia Beach is a great day trip with lots of nice beaches."

"Such a great place to stay! Very equipped cottage. We rented a golf cart to get us around the island. Beach is walkable and the cottage has some chairs sand toys and umbrellas you can borrow. Caretaker Fran stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed too which was great. All the locals are super friendly and very welcoming. We will be back next summer for sure. Thank you"
