“This is a lovely property, surrounded by banana trees and amazing views down the hillside to the ocean. The perfect spot to relax in peace and quite away from the main city while still being super convenient to explore all there is on the island. The staff were very friendly and served amazing breakfast outside every morning. ”

“The location was ideal. We stayed in three places in Madeira and this was our favourite. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are quite small. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. We had a deluxe room with balcony overlooking the bay which was nice. Breakfast was good and is served on the roof so you can enjoy the view. Parking is nearby at a busy public lot. Guys hang out there to assist you in finding a spot. Just have to be patient and give them a tip! ”

“Het hotel is een pareltje in een prachtige tuin met wijds uitzicht. Fijne bedden, kitchinette en lekkere douche. Let op koken kan niet in de kamer. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het geheel is antiek, eclectisch ingericht met veel bijzondere items. Het ontbijt is verrukkelijk: vers bereid. De tuin heeft tal van leuke zitjes en een mooi zwembad wat helaas voor begin april nog te koud was om in te zwemmen. Kortom zeker aan te raden.”

“Tolles Hotel mit total freundlichen Personal, tollem Frühstück und einer Aussicht für die sogar Busse von Außerhalb anreisen. Insbesondere das Personal beim Frühstück ist immer freundlich und hilfsbereit, selbst wenn es mal etwas voller war. Unbedingt die Pizza vor Ort probieren.”

“Beautiful hotel and grounds! Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food! A wonderful all inclusive experience. We had a beautiful room with an extra large balcony with partial view. Room was always cleaned daily and towels changed. We enjoyed the location, the ample parking and the grounds. Kids enjoyed the heated pool and we all enjoyed the buffet, kulinarium restaurant and the evening shows. We are already planning our next trip there! Thank you for a beautiful holiday week Riu Madeira! ”

“Wij vonden het heel fijn dat het een "kleine" accommodatie was, met veel persoonlijke aandacht voor de gasten. Zonder uitzondering was het personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij de omschrijving was het duidelijk dat er bijvoorbeeld bij het zwembad geluidsoverlast was door het verkeer. Een grote plus voor ons was het zoutwater zwembad en de tuin. Ontbijt & diner waren goed! Voldoende keuze en afwisseling. Bij avondeten (gelukkig) ook voldoende groenten. Centrale ligging aan de wat……

“Good location if you have a car. Lovely staff, great pool with steamroom and sauna. Breakfast is really good and plentiful! Not too many reatautant options in the area, but like I said, if you have a car it's great.”

“The hotel natural estate was beautiful, the grounds were in there own gardens , the staff very friendly , everything so clean and helpful. Everything was exceptional. The restaurant was very interesting and good , breakfast was so delightful with all the fruits and choices to eat. It is a 5 star excellent hospitality. The outside pool was lovely as well as indoor spa. Not hot but refreshing. ”

“Das Rauchen auf den eigenem Zimmerbalkonen war nicht erlaubt ohne, dass dies zuvor bekannt war. Das Personal war im Allgemeinen nicht hilfsbereit und man fühlte sich bei Anliegen als Belastung. Die Zimmer sind gut, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Die Balkontür schleift (übrigens bei allen Zimmern). Der Kleiderschrank ist eine Zumutung, wenn man mehr als eine Person ist (Schiebetürendilemma). Die Türen schlagen und hört man über den ganzen Flur. Die Stimmung und Atmosphäre gleicht einem Hauptbahnhof……
