“Starting off with the positive- this is an excellent location to downtown area.Our stay was not good. The original picture of this listing was the front house and only after paying did we receive instructions that the entrance is in the back. This is advertised as a private studio when in reality, it is the third bedroom, separated at the kitchen with a very filmsy looking door. You can hear everything.The place was not clean. Grime on the walls, dirty toilet, broken blinds. If you are allergic……

“Cabin was cozy and inviting! Local area restaurants were great! Ferncliff is a quaint little town! The shower in the cabin is spectacular :) Easy parking and entry! Outdoor lights brought charm! Felt safe. Just wonderful! Owners were friendly and welcoming!”

A local highlight was the Indian/Nepalese restaurant; the authentic dishes and chai tea are a must-try. “Don't be fooled by the Golden address, you're way above the town in the mountains, where in the summer it's about 10-15 degrees cooler than in town. It's remote, quiet and delightful. The hosts did some really nice extra things. They stocked the fridge with a few groceries and drinks as well as kitchenware. (Note: No dishwasher.) They supplied extra coats, sweaters and trekking poles, and even outdoor blankets for cold weather. They gave lots of handy tips about where to go and how to get……
