"I feel like the dextro is trying to be several things that it is emphatically not. it’s not a slick, hip modern stay. it’s not an elegant niche inn. it would be a better experience if the management acknowledged what it actually is, which is a casual but aging property with some limitations. our city-view room overlooked the busy freeway. the room could have been cleaner. it wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t immaculate. the shower was tired and so close to the toilet that exiting was perilous. overall, it wasn’t the stay we expected and parking was very expensive. "

"The outside of building was very unkept. Walls, siding etc. The inside of the room was good. Great shower! Lots of good amenities like lotion. Needed a clock and usb plug ins. Elevator badly needs oiled or replacement. Kept us up all night."

"This hotel is very outdated and run down. The star rating is at best a 2.5 star. We arrived late and the front desk was understaffed. They were doing a great job handling it and were courteous. When we got to our room there were big stains on the chair and the room was not to a clean line standard I would expect from a Hilton property. The hallways are run down and all the doors on our floor looked like someone had been stabbed randomly by something sharp with gouges/holes on the door. A few had been painted over but it wasn't done well. The heating and cooking system is really bad. If you set the temp to above 65 the heat kicked on even though the room temp was 69. So the only way to get air conditioning was to set it at 65 and freeze The water pressure in the shower was also really bad. We got in so late that I didn't have the energy to go down and wait and complain to the front desk, they were understaffed. We were just there overnight and left early. Overall this is a property is in bad need of repair and updating. The lobby looked nice but once you entered the hallways and rooms it was fast downhill. "

"Room could have been cleaner, there’s some dried blood on the bathroom door (yikes) that’s been there for a while it looks like. But overall not as bad as I thought. The pool was very nice. Staff was very nice. Questionable neighbors especially at night time but if you keep to yourself it’s fine lol. "

"We had a great stay at this hotel in San Diego! The property was very clean, which made our stay feel comfortable and relaxing from the moment we arrived. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the best parts of this hotel is its location—it’s just a short walk to Little Italy, which made it so easy to explore and enjoy all the amazing restaurant options nearby. We loved being able to step out and have so many great places to eat within minutes. Another bonus was the accessible EV charging at the hotel—it was super convenient and made our trip even smoother. Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again!"
