"We booked two rooms. Once we checked in the front seat clerk said we only booked one room and they were sold out. We had to cram 4 adults into one room. Forcing two of us to sleep on a couch bed. The next day I notice we were charged for two rooms and said we were a NO SHOW FOR THE SECOND ROOM. Brad ..."

"Our first time in San Diego and I think we made a great choice with the Marriott because of it's central location downtown. It's a quick uber or cab ride from the airport, less than 12 minutes drive. Check in was easy. There are two towers with the lobby and outdoor pool in the center. Beautifully landscaped with plenty of pool chairs. They also have various seating areas for larger groups surrounding tabletop firepits. You do have to go to the outdoor bar & grill at the pool to order your food & drinks, then they will bring it to you but there's no dedicated poolside service. Next to the pool is a grass area with games (connect 4, cornhole etc.) for the kiddos.
We had a corner king bedroom with a balcony facing downtown. It was updated with nice furniture & decor. Bedside outlets with usb input was convenient. Large walk in glass shower with full size bottles of shampoo & eucalyptus body wash. Going out to the main hallway, it was fresh, clean & updated.
You can walk down to the boardwalk through Roys Hawaiian Restaurant and get access to the marina for a stroll or we saw people in 4 passenger covered bikes which looked fun.
Downside was that there's no room service. Restaurants seemed to close earlier for Doordash around 8:30pm. We ate at the Marina Grill inside the hotel, but call in your order for a quick pick up.
The Hideaway is their Spa, but was super pricey. $450 for a couples massage. We went 20 minutes away and used a local spa for $95 for a couples massage."
