The pool was a 10/10\. We really enjoyed the attentive poolside service. Skip the restaurant for dinner. It's nothing to write home about and our food was over-salted. The food is fairly OK for breakfast and lunch. I believe Izla has an all inclusive option, but I'd skip on that. Word of warning: Do not do the "Resort Credit" where you put down money upfront to use throughout your stay. Just pay as you go. Every time I tried to use my credit they said I was out and I had to go up to the front desk. Lo and behold, my credit was just fine each time. Funny how that never happened when my husband was closing out the bill. Other than that inconvenience, overall we enjoyed our stay. We had a car to drive around so when we got bored with the food we went out even though this place was all inclusive. I would stay again if they improve their menu and liquor selections. Here are the good: room was very clean, hotel was clean as well and well maintained, safe, food was ok, Riu party for all was really great. Not so good: the barbacue restaurant food could be much better some served seemed not fresh, more food options in the main restaurant and in the sports bar, the beach was full of weed and the trees had roots coming out of the sand, the entertainment could be better, the best was Riu party, other days were not so great. They could assist me better, I did not have a shuttle, when I called the hotel, instead of offer me shuttle options&tips, they told me to call expedia. Gym was very small and busy early morning. Overall was acceptable, but could be done much better." The best options are those who required advance reservations. Just make sure you bring proper footwear if you are going to these restaurants since flip flops or beach wear are not allowed. Your designated butler will be happy to assist you on arrival, especially if you have WhatsApp on your phone, providing you with schedules, restaurant options, and other comforts. For airport to hotel or vice versa transportation, you can book a shuttle through the hotel or online via Cancun Shuttle. I recommend the latter, as I saved about $70\. Don't forget to have smaller bills for tips and other expenses.
