“The Irish touches, particularly the water colors hung throughout the property are charming, the staff very helpful, endless coffee bar most welcome. The attached restaurant/bar provides a hearty breakfast and top notch dinners, though the well- performed live music in the evenings is loud for my taste. The little indoor pool, very small workout room, & a woodland hiking loop behind the hotel offer many opportunities for exercise, as does the 15 minute walk to downtown Galena and its many……

“A lovely hotel. Close to the town. Easy parking. Cozy and clean room. Friendly owner. Definitely it’s a great experience to stay overnight when you visit galena. ”

“They started laying carpet and had blocked the doorway. They were so helpful and very concerned about my safety. (I use a cane). They helped me get the luggage cart from the entry, over the blocked doorways and back out to the lobby after I had loaded it. The desk manager helped me take the cart akk the way to my car and helped me Unload it. He definitely went beyond with kindness. I am already booked in for my return trip home. Excellent halfway point between my friends home and mine.”

“Was ok. Clean but property was outdated, which I guess you could say, added to the charm. A good coat of paint, some dry wall and tile fixes would freshen things up. Husband thought our room looked worse than others, so maybe we were just unlucky and got a pet room, (no carpet) even though we didn't bring a pet.”

“The front desk clerk was kind and tried to be helpful. The property and rooms were dirty and run down. We did not use the pool so unable to comment on that.”

“I was very surprised that there was not a complementary breakfast. As I was showering in the morning, I found a washcloth hanging over my shower curtain from a previous person’s stay. As this hotel was connected to a casino when I came home Friday evening from visiting my relatives I had to park significantly far away from the front door of the hotel. That was a safety issue for me.”

“Everything was really good. I want to give a shoutout to Alaina who checked us in June 6 and also checked us out June 7. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and offered to help us if we had any questions or needed anything at all. She made us feel appreciated. Anyone who was a worker said hello with a smile as they saw us. Very nice staff at this property ”
