"Stunningly beautiful property with unbelievable vistas from the dining room and pool (amazing). The staff were attentive, helpful, and cheerful and the food was excellent (some of the best we had in all of Italy). They offer free shuttle rides to the city with the last shuttle returning at 6:30 PM. We felt pampered and would actually have preferred to have stayed and spent more time at the hotel rather than running around Florence. Great place to relax and decompress."

Old hotel in an old mountain top town. Given the limitations of this environment the Cisterna is a great little hotel that met all of our needs .The Cisterna is located in Cisterna Square in town close to sights, dining and a valley view walkway. The views to the valley from the rooms is amazing. The rooms are a good size and are modernized and comfortable. The staff is great (friendly and helpful). Many choices for dining close by (in the square) but others will require some minor hills and...

Amazing in every way. The beauty of waking around is unlike any other. When we got there after a long day of traveling we had just missed the lunchtime to eat, and when went to shower the handle broke off- this is not a complaint. First they extended lunch without being asked and fixed the shower within minutes. From there on everything was amazing. Take time to eat the incredible breakfast in the garden, watch the breathtaking sunset in the back it’s incredible. Alessio- does it all he was...

We only stayed one night at this place but we really enjoyed it. Very cool vibes. Only downside is that getting to the room feels a bit complicated since it's in a different building than the lobby.

This place is amazing, and was a great deal in the off season. We paid €120 for a very nice room with a great big shower and a little private patio. The downside is being a long way from Florence’s attractions and restaurants. The closest place to eat was an 8 minute walk. If you have a car and want to be away from the madness of the tourist areas this is your place. VERY quiet.

The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good.
We stayed one night due to an early flight. We were able to park the rental car on-site for free. We returned the car to the airport rental lot at 5:30 am.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the service was great. Very close the train station, about a 5 minute walk. Great local restaurants within walking distance. Also great location for visiting the historical sites.

Horrible! Do not go there! Because if you stay there once, your standards will rise and you will have hard time comparing other hotels to this one which exceeded all standards. Do not get fooled by its 3-star status, as the rooms, deco and services would definitely compete with at least a 4-star counterpart. Located at the center of Florence with walking distance to the main train station and lots of venues and museums, the hotel is a true gem. The breakfast buffet is in an elegant setting and...

Great clean room. Just what we needed for an overnight prior to flight home from Venice. Staff was great and helpful. Made taxi arrangement for morning and gave suggestion for restaurant for early dinner prior to 7pm openings for most restaurants.

We would stay here again! Walking distance to all of the must see attractions (Academia, Uffizi, etc.) Comfortable bed, clean room, and good breakfast included. One thing to note; the night we arrived, we entered the building and the hotel desk and lobby are not on the main floor. Fortunately, a guest was leaving the building and informed us that the desk was up a few floors and we had to walk up a lot of stairs, carrying our luggage. Not that big of deal, but had the guest not told us that, we...

A fan of this hotel since my first visit in 2000. Only steps from the train station and walking distance to Everything! Rooftop sitting areas are enchanting with the best views!
Highly recommend.

The best area to stay in Petrazzi for most visitors is within the historic center, particularly around the Piazza del Popolo.
This central area is the heart of Petrazzi, characterized by its medieval architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and a relaxed, unhurried pace. The Piazza del Popolo is the main square, featuring the town hall and several cafes, and it's a natural gathering point. You'll find a selection of local shops selling artisanal goods and Tuscan specialties, along with a variety of restaurants.
Couples seeking a romantic and convenient base will find the historic center ideal. Strolling hand-in-hand through the ancient streets, enjoying aperitivos in the piazza, and having many excellent dining options within walking distance makes for a memorable experience. The area is also well-situated for exploring the nearby countryside.
For those who prioritize tranquility and scenic views, staying slightly outside the historic walls, within a short drive, offers a different appeal. These accommodations often include restored farmhouses or villas with expansive views of the Tuscan hills and vineyards, providing more space and privacy.
When is the best time to go to Petrazzi?
For the most pleasant weather and a full experience of Petrazzi, the best time to visit is during the shoulder seasons of late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October).
During these months, the weather is typically warm and sunny, superb for exploring the Tuscan countryside without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find the vineyards lush or vibrant with autumn colors, and the olive groves are at their best. It's an ideal time for couples looking to enjoy scenic drives, outdoor dining, and wine tastings at a relaxed pace.
Families traveling with children will also find these periods more comfortable, as the temperatures are moderate for outdoor activities like visiting local farms or exploring medieval towns.
