“Great place to take the family and visit the nearby beaches. Head and Popham are within 15 minutes. We were booked in a Lighthouse room that had the view of the water blocked by trees and management was very helpful switching us to a better room.”

“Reasonably clean property but there seemed to be a lot of corners being cut. Checked in at around 10:30 pm after a long cross country flight. There were no sheets on the sofa bed or the comforter pack in either of the two rooms we booked, so we dealt with that. Next morning went in for a shower and the shampoo was all empty - nothing at all. Went downstairs and there were no glasses for water. Overall it is a clean property but has a lot of quality issues in their service. And the staff……

John is a welcoming host and eager to make sure you enjoy your stay. The cottage is great for 2 people, equipped with the basics and has a great deck to enjoy the views. Planning to return next year. Great spot!”

“The place was very clean, very quiet area, and pet friendly which was great. Nice places to walk the dog, take evening walks etc. Excellent restaurants nearby, we had a lovely time. Maybe a bit pricey (it is July at a tourist destination).”

“This is a classic Maine ocean cottage. It's comfortable, nicely furnished, with a good kitchen and bath. It's rustic and fairly basic -- no dishwasher, no central AC -- but that's kind of the point. The beach is right there. Wonderful to have a dog friendly beach and the house is very accommodating to dogs -- particularly appreciated having a tie-out on the front porch so we could sit outside with our dog and not worry she would wander off. Really enjoyed our stay!”

The place had everything you would possible need. Very kid friendly . I will definitely rent from there again. Best experience wit a place and host,that I have ever had ”

“the host was terrific and very attentive during the check-in process – and the rest of the time he provided us with complete privacy. There were many thoughtful touches included and stocked – soaps, first aid supplies, snacks and staples - he even recalled my asking about a grill and set that up for us! Location is perfect 20 minutes to the gorgeous beach of Read State Park, beautiful walk on old stage Road and overlooking a marsh with incredible bird life. thank you for a wonderful long……
