"You cannot go wrong staying at Manny’s place. It is a short walk to the beach, which has great views and short drive to most vineyards and restaurants. The property itself is beautiful, and there is a private entrance to the rental, which is very roomy, immaculate, and you get a welcome bottle of local wine and hopefully you get Amal’s cookies and chocolate. As mentioned in other reviews, Manny is unintrusive, but very approachable, he is a great source of information as to the best restaurants...

"The host had so many special touches to make this place a wonderful spot to stay. She had little snacks in the kitchen, with coffee and tea in the cupboard. There was half-and-half and the refrigerator, which we really appreciated. The towels in the bathroom were folded like you were in a special hotel. Located on a quiet street of well-maintained homes, and with parking right outside, it was a short 1-1/2 block walk to all the shops, restaurants, ferry, docks, etc. The apt is small, but clean and tidy, sun-filled and air-conditioned.
