“This is a beautiful new hotel with only 20 rooms on a single level. The design and decor are thoughtful and inviting. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, with the exception of the desk clerk, who seemed nice enough but never smiled, and actually seemed a little shy for front of house. The facility overlooking a huge wave generator for surfing gave the sound of the ocean and is very attractive. As was the patio with a heated pool and firepits overlooking the surf area. “Our trip was for a week. Probably would do something different for a longer stay in the future. But if you plan a quick weekend trip it’s okay. Pool was closed. And the hotel does not offer much of anything extra. You have to park a couple blocks away. And if there is an event you can’t pull your car close to load your luggage. Not a horrible place. Staff was friendly. But didn’t stand out as somewhere I’d stay again.”

“The hotel itself was nice, but the check‑in experience was unacceptable. I was given my room more than two hours after the official check‑in time, despite repeatedly asking for updates. I arrived around 12:00 PM, and by 3:00 PM I normally receive my room at any hotel. Instead, I was told over and over that my room “wasn’t ready,” even as I watched other guests receive their keys without delay. At 4:00 PM, the front desk agent reminded me that “check‑in is at 4:00,” to which I had to point out……
