“The cottage was sparkling clean and appears recently renovated, so everything was in pristine condition. The space is cozy, comfortable and the views are great. The outdoor space is incredible, with a screened porch along the back, an outdoor kitchen space, a fire pit overlooking the lake, and a huge upper deck over the lake and a lower boat/kayak dock. It was a lovely place to come back to after a long day of tours. The city and shopping is really nice also. Also the yard is lovely… so many beautiful birds around it so I had some lovely mornings outside as well. Would definitely stay again.”

“We enjoyed the quiet, laidback feel while staying at the Raven's Roost. It was easy access to food and other interests and about 20 minutes to the Shenandoah N.P. at Thornton Gap entrance. The hosts, who live on the property, were friendly and accomodating. We appreciated the pet friendly accommodations. Ed and Betsy were thoughtful in leaving 1/2 dozen fresh eggs and tasty, homemade bread on our arrival.”
