Front desk assistance will ways try and sell you on "extra" stuff thag you do NOT need and you need to be firm when saying no youre not interested. Pool/Beach - clean, safe, lots of seating (get out early for a chair though because they go quickly). Beach is the reason we come, zero sargasum seaweed because of the net across the enterance on the man made inlet of water. A lot of fish swimming around which is awsome for kids and adults to see, crabs, turtles as well. Lots of trees for shade also. Food - Average, nothing fancy, buffets could be a bit better in food selelction but zero issues Overall a great resort, especially for families on a budget, would recommend to anyone! Lots of peeling silicone along the edges of the shower, rust everywhere and too many stained surfaces to count. The room was well cleaned but not well maintained. Other areas of the resort were in much better condition. The food around the infinity pool/beach was terrific. It was nice to have a few different grab and go options. We highly recommend the pizza. We felt that renting a Bali Bed for a few days offered real convenience when spending time at the infinity pool and the beach. Kendy was a phenomenal server, keeping our drinks fresh throughout the day. Shout outs: the cuisine at Fuego and Bassano. Most surprising: great pool food, both at the beach and lagoon pools - Fantastic bathroom - great design and light - Top notch spa - Amazingly consistent and strong service across all resort venues - it's clear that every employee here has been "Hyatt-ized" to greet guests warmly and professionally and always be helpful - Best upgrade? Butler service! Being able to group chat on WhatsApp was much easier than a concierge. Special shout out to Edgar for incredible helpfulness and availability. Helped with restaurant and outing reservations (on and off site), transportation access, maintenance issues (super fast response), and even finding and delivering Dramamine to our room. We were blown away! - Bikes everywhere (to take to the beach pool area, etc.) and the everpresent shuttles. Fair warning: The beach is .5 mile away, but it's very easy to get to, even in the evening for bar/restaurant reservations. Only weak points were check in - took WAY too long and wasn't very welcoming or helpful - and check out, which felt impersonal after such a great stay. My only real complaint is that the room are so very noisy. We shared a thatched roof with 3 other rooms in our bungalow and could hear everything. And our room building 14) was close to the theatre and I swear that the show was louder in my bed than at the actual theatre. As someone that is early to rise and early to bed I hated this.
