5/5 Excellent
Best location ever.
"This hotel is well located near the national mall and a quick 10 min walk to the wharf that’s home to multiple restaurants. Any taxi ride required was never more than $10-15. Mr Ali was quick with the door and always there to answer any questions and offer any service. The morning coffee in the lobby was the only negative. It was just never hot enough! "

"Positives…Inside, the Shoreham is a beautiful, classic hotel that seems as if it materialized out of the pages of the Great Gatsby. The interior is appointed with amazing chandeliers, relief paintings on high arches supported by doric columns, Persian rugs, polished wood trim, and marble floors and counters. The grounds in the rear of the property are gorgeous with sweeping staircases leading down to a gazebo and garden area where they regularly hold weddings. The hotel also has a great pool, banquet halls, meeting rooms, shops, and a coffee bar. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent, and they have an upscale lounge for evening entertainment. The front desk staff were very friendly and offered several extras for us upon check in. Our king bedroom was spacious, very clean, nicely appointed, and the bed was comfortable. The property is also a very short walk to restaurants, a CVS, and the Metro. Negatives…the exterior of the hotel is really showing its age and could use a “facelift”…it’s like wrapping a Tiffany bracelet in a brown paper sack. So don’t let that deter you from staying here. Additionally, all the furniture in the lobby is worn and stained, which was very surprising to me for an Omni property, and it takes away from the rest of the ambience. They should really consider replacements/upgrades. Other than those two points, the Shoreham is our favorite place we have stayed so far in DC and we will definitely stay there again."
"I enjoyed my stay here. The location was great. Yes, the hotel had some outdated features but I thought it added to the charm. I would stay again. All staff seemed very friendly. "

"This hotel is great for single travelers. The rooms are small, but clean and stylish and have everything you need. There's a diner and café on site (as well as a rooftop bar), but it's also close to other restaurants that are open late. It's perfectly situation steps away from the bus stop and metro (red line)."
