"This cabin is well furnished and appointed. However, the fishing on Douglas Lake was a disappointment to say the least. First, the lake is difficult to navigate because its depths vary so dramatically. We had to be very careful just pulling our boat away from the dock each day. Second, we are experienced fishermen but nothing we tried worked; we caught a few "aquarium-sized" perch each day and that was it. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The host has thought of everything, from daily essentials to a well-stocked coffee bar. We brought our senior dog along, and she was welcomed with some doggie treats. We also enjoyed the grill station and had a relaxing night by the fire pit after spending the day at Mackinac Island. We highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay at a very peaceful place."

"The place is nice, with nice finish/furnishings. BUT, one of the main reasons we booked here was for the hot tub, which apparently had already been winterized without telling anyone (including us). The management company was responsive, but their initial resolution was to refund the hot tub fee. I told them that wasn't good enough, and they agreed on a partial refund of $100 for our three night stay. So, not exactly what we expected, but it was okay. "Booked this spot for a guys-only fishing trip for Father's Day weekend. The house was clean, comfortable, and issue-free. Bonus points: the driveway was just long enough for our 18' boat and truck to park and not be in the road! Would definitely stay here again."

"Nice house and awesome kitchen. The stairs to the lake were challenging for us, but still worth the visit, the many landings were nice for breaks. The water is crystal clear and the beach was very clean. There is a lot to do and see in the area. We enjoyed rock hunting, the bike trails, beach walks, lighthouse, ship wrecks and the quarry all within a short distance but most of all the quietness and the waves."
