“This is an old motel but kept in excellent shape. The maintenance/carpentry is excellent. First time that I've seen crown molding in a bathroom. The bed is comfortable and my wife loved the pattern on the comforter. The location is beautiful, right on the bay, and there are nice benches all around to soak it in. There are no restaurants within a reasonable distance that are open before 10 AM but you can get pastries and coffee within a few miles. We would stay there again.”

“This is like luxury hostel lodging - shared bathrooms and kitchen … the price is fantastic … my tv got 1 channel and thankfully it was HGTV! Very narrow and steep stairs - coffee every morning (probably after 8am) and a lovely balcony!”

“Brand new so of course it’s clean and tidy. Staff was not helpful- a woman was trapped in the elevator for over an hour before they would call 911- they wanted to wait for the tech. Hot breakfast was nice but they weren’t prepared for the volume of people at all! Convenient location - can walk to downtown Novato!”

We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high.
