Delivers on value for money

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Clean, tidy & comfortable. Good complimentary breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast area is a bit small and cramped.
Location: Situated in china town with Little Italy a couple of blocks away. It's ideally situated for access to downtown and the financial district.
Spent 7 nights at Best Western Bowery Hanbee and had a very pleasant stay.

Good but noisy location!

3 night stay in March. Parking is a little bit far from hotel. So if you travel heavy, better drop off your bags before you go park. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The wood floors are a nice touch. The hotel is at the corner of Bowery, so it is noisy. But, in return, you can very easily walk to LES, Broadway, Financial District, Soho... Free wi-fi, free breakfast (not great but convenient).

Excellent. Didn't expect a BW to be this nice.

Pros: Size of the rooms and quite streets. Bed were very comfortable and quite streets at night
Cons: TV Channel line up...Need a place to put your toiletries (bathroom has no place to place your personal stuff) had to use the ironing board for it
Location: It is in between china town and Little Italy so food wise you are fine (china town is a little dirty - but your not staying on the streets) Metro near
Excellent service and room quality. I didn't expect the rooms to be this nice. The room I had was 2 double beds and enough room to fit 4 sleeping bags (usuallyNYC room are small as a box).

Great neighborhood

Pros: Hotel was quiet, efficient, clean and comfortable
Cons: Breakfast was very unimaginative
Location: Located in a lively but not especially touristy area. Good opportunity to get to know many different neighborhoods in the lower east side.
Excellent walking area with access to many neighborhoods and a fabulous selection of street food and restaurants.

Decent hotel, good value, some issues

Location: Tenement museum Subway station (Grand St) East Village Brooklyn Bridge Financial district Battery Park (boat to Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island)
NEGATIVES Breakfast is included, but the breakfast room is tiny and very overcrowded, just a handful of tables crammed in a small space next to the reception desk. It was often busy, so we usually couldn't get seats and had to wait in queues to get to the food - not what you want first thing in the morning! The layout of the rooms is weird, with the bathroom by the window, the bed next to the corridor and poor internal sound-proofing. This meant that we were frequently disturbed by noise from the corridor. Especially when we were put next to the vending machine which people used throughout the night. Also, there was no way to prevent light coming through the huge window in the bathroom and into the bedroom through the frosted internal window - fine for us in winter, but it could be awful in summer. There were lots of large groups of young people staying there. POSITIVES Good value for money. The bed was comfortable and a fair size. The street noise wasn't too loud. A good location, one block from the subway. A waffle maker at breakfast, if you are prepared to queue. The staff were helpful and friendly, and allowed us to move away from the noisy vending machine on our second night. (Sean in particular was great arranging taxis to the airport etc)

Good location, nothing was stolen.

Pros: location.
Location: roofies
My wife and I got roofied at a nearby establishment and instead of spending the night in the hotel, we spent the night in the hospital. We were happy to come back to the room with nothing out of place, everything just as we left it. 10/10, would leave our stuff there again while in hospital sleeping off roofies.

Pleasant hotel located in China Town

Posted Feb 4, 2014
Cons: The beverage vending machine on 7th floor need to repair, they don't take the coins and notes.
The hotel staff are friendly right from checking in until checking out. All the tourist attractions literatures available in the hotel lobby are really helpful.

Chinatown

Posted Feb 2, 2014
I loved the location of the hotel. Chinatown is so different and fun to be in and the subway station was so close to make it easier to get around the whole city. Room was cute and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved how the bathroom floors were heated, it's the little things. Best part was the free breakfast, definitely helped save some money.

Pros: A pleasant and friendly environment.
Cons: The heating can be noisy on the coldest days.
Location: As stated above, two very interesting localities on the doorstep, with a wealth of interesting restaurants.
This was a great place to stay close to both Chinatown and Little Italy in New York.
